The Fishing

Come chase Juvenile Tarpon, Permit, Snook, Barracuda and Jack Crevalle. Isle Holbox is an amazing part of Mexico that has vast lagoons and mangroves full of fish. We will be fishing with Alejandro Vega Cruz, aka Mr. Sandflea. He and his crew are experts in this area and will get you shots at fish all day long.

The ISLAND

Located off the northern coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, Holbox (pronounced Hole-Bosh) is a small island that is surrounded by a lush lagoon full of fish. The island itself is super relaxed, fun, and of course gorgeous. The main town square is small and vibrant, full of shops, food, hotels, and more. The locals are friendly and the food is delicious. The island runs east and west and is approximately 26 miles in length. The eastern side is where we will be fishing. There are miles upon miles of uninhabited protected reserves filled with mangroves and untouched beaches. 

The island is supported by tourism and you will find a huge mix of tourists from Europe and South America. The majority of the island is easily walkable. There are no personal cars on the island. You will see some commercial delivery vehicles but 95% of vehicles are golf carts, atvs, and side by sides. Taxis are golf carts and cost roughly $6 to get anywhere in town. Holbox has some of the best food, trust me. I have found a number of very good places from cheap taco joints to nice restaurants. There is nearly zero crime. It is a very safe island– I suppose there is nowhere to run if you do commit a crime.

There are limited number of spots available for this trip. Spots are filled on a fist come first serve basis. Deposits are due no later than august 1st. if deposits are made by july 1st, total is… if made by august 1st, total is ….

lOGISTICS

    We fish 2 anglers per boat. If you would prefer fish solo on the boat let me know and we can offer you an adjusted price.

    Optional additional fishing day is $500 plus tip.

  • We will be fishing with Mr. Sandflea (Alejandro Vega Cruz) and his crew of guides. Our targets will be Juvenile Tarpon, Permit, Barracuda, Jack Crevalle and Snook. Days are approximately 8 hrs. 2 anglers per boat unless you prefer to be solo. Lunch will be provided on fishing days.

TRIP DEPOSIT/PAYMENT
A 50% deposit (per angler) of $1,575.00 is due to Brad Nicol at the time of booking to secure the reservation. Guides and dates cannot be held or reserved without a deposit. Deposit is fully refundable within 30 days and 50% refundable within 60 days. Full payment is due 120 days prior to departure (October 28th, 2023). Payments can be made via Venmo,  Zelle or personal check/wire transfer.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS – CANCELLATIONS
For all cancellations, written notice must be sent to and received by Brad Nicol brad@anglerimages.com. There will be no refunds for cancellations 60 days prior to the start of the trip. Receipt of deposit and/or final payment is acknowledgment that the registrant has read and accepts the deposit, cancellation, refund and responsibility clauses for these packages.
